1. What inspires, moves or drives you?

I have so many things that inspire me, my two beautiful girls, music,  fashion just to name a few. Sometimes my inspiration changes on a daily basis from what surrounds me in that moment and whom I choose to share my space with. That's what I love about inspiration, it can continuously change yet stay constant to keep you continuing to grow and evolve. I always try to find the positive  in any situation and make it better and give it more light. Being a single mama, my two girls give me the strength and inspiration to continue to grow and be the best version of myself. They keep me grounded and when i feel lost I look into their eyes and am comforted by their unconditional love and gratitude for life to be their authentic selves and I strive that they never lose that outlook on life and them too to keep striving to be inspired on a daily basis.

2. What are a few of your favourite things?

I love my family and friends. I hate that my family is soooo far away over in good ole Newfoundland but am extremely grateful for the friends and fam I have found here in Calgary. I love love looove shoes and clothes, especially festival fashion, its my main squeeze. Also summer and food!!!  My fave colour is pink, I feel my best when I'm head to toe in pink with a lil pop of neon yellow, that's my new jam!

3. What does an ideal world look like to you?

My ideal world would be full of festivals and no COVID-19! I have always said I wanted to take everyone that I know, love and care about and put a bubble around us to protect us from all the bad shit and craziness that goes on around us in this messed up world. My friends are like what you wanna start a cult. LMAO ya I do! A love cult where everyone is loving, respecting, supporting each other, everyone is happy and flourishing. my lil hippy love farm.

4. What is your “offering”, creative or otherwise?

I love to create. I specialize in festival accessories, mainly visors. I am always so inspired from the amount of creativity in the festival community. I am honestly so inspired by you, Gazzy! How you are respected, loved and appreciated in the festival community is goals. Witnessing this lit a fuel to my fire, I wanted to create something which brought people joy and a feeling of self-love when they wore my creations. Visors are my jam and creating one from start to finish is so rewarding and then to see someone rocking out in all their glory is everything!

5. How can we find your work or follow along with your journey?

6. What are your favourite quotes or words to live by?

Some of my fave quotes are:

"You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think and loved more than you know.”

"You do not just wake up a butterfly, growth is a process.”

"And into the forest I go to lose my mind and find my soul.”

7. Who are your heros/heroines and how have they impacted your life?

Strong women hands down are my hero's. I am blessed to have so many strong women in my life who have been there for me on so many levels and supported me throughout my journey. Big shout out to my Momma she has always been there for me from the good times to the incredibly hard times and believed in me no matter  the circumstances or situation. Shes always been there to talk things out and remains a positive light in my world. Big shout out to my BFF Rachel Crews, you are a serious bad ass women! You have been my rock and are a force to be reckoned with. Your strength and your life journey are an inspiration. You have been there for me when everything in my life was unraveling and gave me strength to push  through and move forward when I didn't think I could. The strength of a women is undeniable. Witnessing the strength in a women gives me strength , it is such a powerful and contagious force.

8. How will you leave your mark on the world, both in terms of community and the environment?

When I leave this world behind may I have raised two incredibly strong lil mamacitas who are proud that I was their mom. That they have pure love in their hearts and ooze happiness from with in, I want nothing but greatness for them and that I have left them with the character, skills and knowledge to succeed in their own way in this crazy world.

9. What advice would the present you share with the past you?
I would tell my younger self:

Travel, travel and more travel.
Always stand up for yourself and your loved ones, you have a voice, use it!
Don't care what others think of you, haters gon' hate.
Live in the moment.
Love the shit outta yourself, your awesome show yourself more self love and be confident.

10. What challenges have you overcome and how?

Being a single mama has definitely had its challenges, but I wouldn't change a thing. I was lost for a very large portion of my life and nearly lost it all. But I found strength within myself and these two amazing lil women. It wasn't easy but I put in work, a lot of work into myself to be where I am today. I love the women I am today, I could never have said that before. I'm proud of who I am and the woman I have become. Through all my dark days I knew I had to fight to find the light and I would come out of it on top. That's the crazy thing about life, we all have our hardships but I truly believe that there can be light at the end of it if you are seriously willing to look inside yourself and fight for more, fight for greatness, never give up. But ask for help too! I was always too proud to ask for help, I kept everything bottled inside and thought I could just do it in my own. Heck no, I needed a push, I needed support, I needed others strength to regain mine.
